History of Tourism
This section of the Tourism Exhibit was created to showcase the timespan of those who have been drawn to the Humboldt Redwoods. Included in this section are images of different means of trasportation to help aid individuals getting to and through the Humboldt Redwoods. One did not have to own a car to travel to these majestic forests, there were public transportation services that would allow the adventure seeker the opportunity to travel without the stress of driving themselves. There were buses and trains that provided such services, and both were a grand choice to be able to tour the beauty of Humboldt County.
The forests of Humboldt County provide a variety of outdoor adventures or leisure activities. From camping and fishing, to hiking through the Redwoods and ferns on a sunny day, tourists can make a spectacular and memorable experience here, as can be seen in the images shown in this section of the Tourism Exhibit.
